Its soothing properties help reduce stress and anxiety, making it an excellent choice for aromatherapy. Diffusing a few drops of rosewood oil in your home or office can create a calm and peaceful environment, helping to alleviate tension and promote mental well-being.

Supports Skin Health

With its potent antiseptic and antibacterial properties, rosewood essential oil is beneficial for maintaining healthy skin. It can help combat acne, blemishes, and signs of aging. When diluted with a carrier oil, such as jojoba or coconut oil, rosewood oil can be applied topically to moisturize the skin, reduce inflammation, and enhance its natural radiance.

Boosts Immune System

Thanks to its antimicrobial properties, rosewood essential oil can strengthen the immune system and protect against various infections. Inhaling the oil or using it in a diffuser can help purify the air and prevent the spread of harmful bacteria and viruses, thereby reducing the risk of respiratory illnesses.

Relieves Headaches and Muscle Pain

When diluted and applied topically, rosewood essential oil can provide relief from headaches and muscle pain. Its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties help soothe tension in the muscles and alleviate discomfort. Gently massaging the oil onto the affected area can promote relaxation and ease pain.

Enhances Sleep Quality

For those struggling with insomnia or sleep disturbances, rosewood essential oil can be a natural remedy to promote better sleep. Its calming aroma can create a serene atmosphere, helping to induce a sense of tranquility and improve sleep quality. Adding a few drops of rosewood oil to a diffuser or applying it to a pillowcase can have a positive impact on your sleep patterns.

Natural Deodorizer

Due to its pleasant scent, rosewood essential oil is often used as a natural deodorizer. It can effectively neutralize unpleasant odors in your home or even in your car. Simply add a few drops of rosewood oil to a spray bottle filled with water and use it as a refreshing air freshener.

Aids in Respiratory Health

Rosewood essential oil possesses expectorant properties that can help relieve respiratory issues. It can help stimulate the production of digestive enzymes, improve nutrient absorption, and relieve digestive discomfort. However, it is important to note that excessive use or ingestion of essential oils can be harmful, so it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional before internal use.

Properties and Benefits of Sandalwood:

Sandalwood oil is used to create healthier, brighter and younger-looking skin.

Pollution causes a chain reaction of dermatological events. Its noxious gases activate skin cell receptors to produce cytokines and chemokines, causing systemic inflammation and oxidative stress. This damages collagen, which in turn stimulates cortisone production, exacerbating inflammation. Indian Sandalwood oil’s anti-inflammatory and antioxidation properties can potentially help prevent skin damage in the first instance, and repair any damage that has already occurred in the second.

As skin ages it naturally produces cortisol, which increases inflammation of the skin tissue. Indian sandalwood oil is reported to block the activity of crucial inflammatory enzymes while stimulating the activity of a deactivating enzyme. A clinical trial of the in-vitro anti-inflammatory impacts of sandalwood oil revealed startling results: over 75% of the paediatric patients with atopic dermatitis showed a 50% improvement in visual symptoms upon applying a formulation containing sandalwood oil.

Collagen is a major protein in the skin connective tissue, essential for maintaining the shape and texture of skin. Antioxidant proteins help to protect collagen from oxidation – a major cause of wrinkles and lack of skin firmness. Indian sandalwood oil is believed to ‘supercharge’ the production of proteins that stop the oxidation process and reverse associated damage.

Dark spots and pigmentation or sunspots are another major sign of ageing skin caused by an over-production of melanin. Sandalwood oil reportedly inhibits the major enzymes producing melanin, reducing discolouration and brightening the skin

A study observing the physiological and mental/emotional impact of sandalwood discovered that whilst the oil acts as a relaxant physically, it is a stimulant behaviourally. The greater the decrease in systolic blood pressure, the higher the subjective rating of alertness. The same study shows that fragrance molecules positively interact with glutamate receptors in the brain, which play an important role in learning and memory.

Sandalwood oil does not block UV or blue light emitted by digital screens, it does help repair the damage, inflammation and skin pigmentation caused post-exposure.

Sandalwood has a long history of use in meditation, yoga and worship for its ability to clear the mind. Sandalwood oil is also used in aromatherapy to promote a sense of calm, relieving anxiety and tension.

It is a proven relaxant, decreasing anxiety and calming the nervous system, and assisting with better quality sleep. Its benefits are realised upon inhalation of the sweet woody fragrance or when absorbed through the skin.

According to studies, the alpha-santalol in sandalwood oil relaxes and sedates the nervous system. It is reported to act in a similar way to anti-anxiety medication, interacting with receptors in the brain that regulate anxiety.

Relaxation methods include using sandalwood oil in a diffuser, burning the oil, using sandalwood incense sticks or a massage oil.

Avocado Oil

Description: Avocado Carrier Oil contains Vitamins A, B1, B2, D, E, and Beta carotene. It is classified as a monounsaturated oil and is best suited for dry skin conditions in topical applications.

Effects of Topical Vitamins:

Vitamin A:

Thickens and stimulates the dermis – where your collagen, elastin and blood vessels are – so it reduces wrinkles and increases blood flow to the surface of the skin. Vitamin A actually increases the deposition of collagen; therefore it slows the normal aging breakdown of your collagen and elastin. Is considered a thorough exfoliator, and this repeated shedding of the upper dermal layer forces the skin to produce new cells and stimulate collagen production.

Vitamin B:

Will help heal damaged complexion when applied topically.

Vitamin C:

Topical vitamin c have beneficial effects on skin cells, and some studies have shown that vitamin C may help prevent and treat ultraviolet (UV)-induced photodamage.

Vitamin E:

Is an antioxidant superstar. Benefits include enhancing the efficacy of active sunscreen ingredients, reducing the formation of free radicals from exposure to UV rays, promoting the healing process, strengthening the skin's barrier function, protecting the skin barrier's lipid balance, and reducing trans epidermal water loss.

Vitamin D:

Vitamin D plays an integral role in skin protection and rejuvenation.

In its active form as calcitriol, vitamin D contributes to skin cell growth, repair, and metabolism. It optimizes the skin’s immune system and helps destroy free radicals that can cause premature aging.

While the body can produce vitamin D on its own through sun exposure, too much sun accelerates skin aging. Over time, it can damage the skin, leading to wrinkles, sun spots—and increased risk of skin cancer.

Age, skin color, geographic latitude, seasonal variations in sunlight availability, and sunscreen use make it difficult for your body to produce all the vitamin D it needs.

Much of the vitamin D produced in the skin is also taken up and used by other systems of the body.

Between the ages of 20 and 70, your skin loses about 75% of its ability to produce vitamin D3—the metabolic precursor to calcitriol.

Topical vitamin D application can exert a protective and rejuvenating effect on aging skin.

Beta Carotene:

Increase cell turn-over and regeneration in the outer layers of the skin. Topical application of beta-carotene can enhance the appearance of the skin by restoring suppleness and adding a “glowing” pigment that seemingly evens out the skin tone. Beta-carotene’s antioxidant attributes, such as sun damage protection, are used to prevent the signs of aging in the skin; Beta-carotene’s corrective properties are used to help heal scratches and prevent scarring.

Full spectrum raw Vitamin E:

Vitamin E plays a crucial role in protecting skin cells and membranes from environmental damage. This protection extends to preventing damage to the skin from UV rays, pollutants and the effects of aging. The d-alpha-tocopherol also protects against lipid peroxidation, which helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. This form of Vitamin E is GMO-free and gluten-free. Full spectrum raw Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant
